From the Wild West Series, this Geronimo design is another great, classic design by Intaglio Mint out of Colorado. Comes with a protective capsule. In uncirculated condition originally purchased new in bulk from USA producer and kept sealed in a tube.

From the mint: " 

Geronimo (1829-1909) was an Apache leader and medicine man best known for his fearlessness in resisting anyone–Mexican or American—who attempted to remove his people from their tribal lands.

He repeatedly evaded capture and life on a reservation, and during his final escape, a full quarter of the U.S. standing army pursued him and his followers. When Geronimo was captured on September 4, 1886, he was the last Native American leader to formally surrender to the U.S. military. He spent the last 20 years of his life as a prisoner of war.

• Obverse:  A depiction of Geronimo based on one of the most famous photos known. “GERONIMO” above the portrait curved along the circumference.

• Reverse: The common reverse for the series, it includes many iconic images of the old west. Centered, a blank badge wrapped with a cowboy’s rope, a horned bull skull centered, with opposing six-shooters at 10 and 2 o’clock, and finally, two horseshoes at three o’clock, and a small badge at nine o’clock with the Intaglio mint mark. Hallmark at 6 o’clock curved on the lower circumference. "
